The infrastructure-as-a-service suite Terraform had been developed under the Mozilla Public License version 2 (MPL-2.0).
In August 2023, [HashiCorp announced they would switch][10] their work to the Business Source License
(BUSL).
Subsequently, a group previously part of the Terraform community announced they would [continue open source development as the OpenTofu project][20].
