Gnome-terminal is a terminal emulator program that is part of the GNOME
project. Gnome-terminal supports color displays and provides mouse support
to applications that are aware of mouse events for xterm-like terminals.

This package contains the GNOME panel which the area on your desktop

The libpanel-applet library is also in this package. This library allows
one to develop small applications which may be embedded in the panel.
These are called applets. Several applets are also supplied - the

Nautilus is the official file manager for the GNOME desktop.

The librsvg library is a lightweight library for parsing and rendering
vector-graphic files in SVG format (like the ones made by sodipodi). It also
includes functions that render anti-aliased fonts using freetype, including
caching of glyphs. It's used by Nautilus for drawing vector icons and
anti-aliased type.

The Eazel Extensions Library is a collection of widgets and extensions

ORBit is a high-performance CORBA (Common Object Request Broker
Architecture) ORB (object request broker). It allows programs to
send requests and receive replies from other programs, regardless
of the locations of the two programs. CORBA is an architecture that
enables communication between program objects, regardless of the
programming language they're written in or the operating system they
run on.

libIDL is a small library for creating parse trees of CORBA v2.2
compliant Interface Definition Language (IDL) files, which is a
specification for defining interfaces which can be used between
different CORBA implementations.

linc is a library that eases the task of writing networked servers and
clients. It takes care of connection initiation and maintainance, and
the details of varioustransports. It is used by the new ORBit to
handle message transmission/receipt.

fixed 91 bits HMAC bug, fixed minor compile warnings for the
external DTD patch, fixed bug with EVP ciphers for OpenSSL 0.9.7
when last block was not processed for padding, etc.
STABILITY FIX:
Fixed double free'd pointer bug in mysql_change_user() handling, that
enabled a specially hacked version of MySQL client to crash mysqld.
Note, that one needs to login to the server by using a valid user
account to be able to exploit this bug.

introduced and many new plugins for PPTP tunnel breaking have
been added.
