fa66e11011 - now that dependencies seem to work right, remove tcl from dependency list 
- add build target to dependnecy list for test target to ensure that expect
is actually built before trying to run the test

b15b5c9a11 Update to 991208 snapshot, quite a few bugs fixed as usual. 
Highlight: inlining on function trees should be active in C++.

Reword include files fixing so that it wedges in where it is
supposed to, as latest tweaks to va_list means the stage1 compiler
needs correct includes.

199965e9a3 Update to remove brokenness and dependency on dead version (ok turan@). 
Add note that it compiles only on clean 2.6 installs or later.
Merge in some stuff from the kaffe1 port, to eliminate duplication.
Shorten DESCR to a few paragraphs.

e8ce5474b4 Fix g77 mktemp patch, now that the testsuite checks for it. 
Remove extraneous warnings from the build process... for some strange
reason, the protoize patch was integrated by the Cygnus folks, but
the libiberty part is still hanging in no-man's land... go figure.

04679873d1 - remove BROKEN tag 
- upgrade to STk 3.1.1
- change maintainer to ports@
- fix PLIST problem by using sed for some variable substitution
- fix compilation on archs that do not support dynamic loading of modules
  (fixes compilation on Alpha, needs testing on pmax and arc)

f844940867 Argh. I was SURE I had repaired that port WEEKS ago. 
So, here goes.

- retrieve a recent snapshot of egcs, to justify the port's existence,
- remove outdated fixes, now that we're synching with 2.6,
- update patches to deal with the current snapshot,
- get a description that matches better what's going on,
- add fixed include files to match the new varargs handling (complexity
is now within gcc, instead of arch-dependent include files).

Builds on i386, at least.

1753c0da02 19990517 compiles and tests okay. 
The recent changes to collect2 (needed by java) mean ldd must be updated,
the Makefile now checks for that problem.

9cf0f781de Move from Beta 3 to Beta 4. Add libtool to BUILD_DEPENDS. Fix WORKSRCDIR. 
Drop ENVIRONMENT file since it's no longer built.  Generalize DESCR slightly.

712de16f65 Testsuite wanted installed libstdc++, because libstdc++.a link was not done 
properly.

Clean a few odds & ends of main configuration.

Fix a long-standing bug that let libgcc.a get rebuilt again and again,
e.g., once for make build, once for make install

926e5fa1a6 Fix up PLISTs. 
At one point bsd.port.mk put out erroneous PLIST-auto, with @cwd, @pkgname,
and @pkgdep lines.

These are actually added by make package, and shouldn't usually be put
inside the PLIST, as this is extra information to update.

I left a few @cwd in, mainly for the perl modules, which want to live under
/usr to work.

3e45db1680 add sha1 and rmd160 checksum to the existing md5 sums for all files; 
Porters: please make sure you use bsd.port.mk 1.75 or later when
updating ports.  That version of the makefile adds all sums.  Previous
versions of the makefile will still work for people installing ports.

99a1ab44b1 fix earlier bogus changes to Makefile where a value that 
was defined in bsd.port.mk was checked before bsd.port.mk was included;
this should make ports with optional shared libs build on the alpha,
again.  However, chages require the latest bsd.port.mk

77df149f53 Update to 990214 snapshot. 
This snapshot disables recent loop changes, so the regressions from
990131 -> 990208 should no longer be there, I hope.

Removed patches have been folded back to mainstream.
This is a slight problem, as someone who wants to use an older snapshot
will have to track the CVS history of this port to find out what he
needs...

Fixed small PATH problem with autoreconf, thanks pefo.

New mips tweaks not yet in.

914da8bc4f Fix comments to appear more uniform (GNU-style). 
REMOVE THE DEFAULT SETUP TO VTABLE_THUNKS.

vtable-thunks are faster, *but* they break sometimes, and the fix is
not in yet, plus this is a rather obscure problem which is undocumented,
but shows up in real code. Read

35f1f6f731 Fix basic misconceptions about OBJECT_FORMAT.
