Fix comments to appear more uniform (GNU-style).
REMOVE THE DEFAULT SETUP TO VTABLE_THUNKS. vtable-thunks are faster, *but* they break sometimes, and the fix is not in yet, plus this is a rather obscure problem which is undocumented, but shows up in real code. Read <http://www.its.caltech.edu/~jafl/jx/egcs_bug.html> <http://www.its.caltech.edu/~jafl/jx/egcs_complain.html> for details.
