libxml (cursing the author all the way for having two incompatible
versions of their software do this).
This is still not 100%, but a step in the right direction for those
ports that need libxml2, but also have to co-exist with GNOME
(which, for the moment, uses libxml exclusively).
Max will be committing a port shortly to show exactly how to
tell a port to use libxml2 under this new scheme of things.
As and when GNOME (the primary consumer of libxml) moves over
to libxml2, these hacks will be reverted, and similar hacks put
in to libxml until it dies a quiet death.

space as www/apache13 does, so that other apache-dependendent ports
DTRT regardless of which one is installed.
Nothing concrete (other than we're working on a real cleanup of the
apache ports) has been heard from any of the maintainers. Obviously
that is the best solution, but with 4.2-RELEASE just around the
corner, we have an opportunity here to at least remove a few bogons.
Both times I've raised this issue on -ports, however, there has been
significant interest in the patches, and now plenty of confirmations
that the modifications do not break the port in other ways.
There is one copy on the author's ftp site.
There is a differnt copy on all the SunSite mirrors.
The difference is small. The SunSite copy contains a config.cache file.
The actual source code is identical.
So, allow this port to work with either tarballs.
We need both checksums in distinfo and we need to delete config.cache
(if it exists) prior to running configure.
Submitted by: bento which found the problem while the authors site was down
pregenerated files (unlike previous tarballs), and we need db2html
to build them ourselves. I'm assuming that db2html is a part of
docbook somewhere, and whilst GNOME is a little bloated by itself,
I don't (yet) want to make docbook a dependency.
patches/patch-aa -> files/patch-aa
No repo-copy needed, since there was no history for the patch, but I
include the original commit message for it here:
Adding a `-P' option to the CVS checkout lines is needed or else
bsd.port.mk finds the older directories and complains about mismatched
port versions.
