sthen 9dce0552ee - enable RTTI, requested by jeremy@ and suggested in LLVM packager notes 
- add a comment referring to packager notes

- garbage-collect symlink which is no longer necessary and inclusion
of bsd.own.mk that was previously used to check the version of
the system compiler
