kettenis b20f22ef55 Drop local changes that build the static library without -fPIC. These days ... most of our architectures default to PIE, which for all practical purpose is equivalent to PIC. This also brings back -Bsymbolic, which is needed on amd64 to work around the fact that some of the assembler code generates R_X86_64_PC32 relocations that binutils 2.17 complains about (rightly so).
