06c36aa735 Import CMixer 0.1, a very simple curses-based mixer for OpenBSD. 
Tested with success @p2k9 with auich, azalia, eap & uaudio devices.
If it doesn't work for your exotic hw, send mixerctl -v output my way...

502cec0616 import p5-Audio-Scan, 
Audio::Scan is a C-based scanner for audio file metadata and tag
information. It currently supports MP3 via an included version of
libid3tag, MP4, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC (if libFLAC is installed), ASF,
WAV, AIFF, Musepack, and Monkey's Audio.

8da9512ab5 On archs where webkit doesn't run (say, sparc64), give gmpc-plugins a 
chance to build by disabling wikipedia plugin from the build.
While here, patch configure to fix a bunch of typos, already fixed in
upcoming 0.19.

Exaile is a music manager and player for GTK+ written in Python.
It incorporates automatic fetching of album art, handling of large
libraries, lyrics fetching, artist/album information via Wikipedia,
Last.fm submission support, and optional iPod support via a plugin.

0e87aad388 set the pkgspec for LIB_DEPENDS on ffmpeg to a version with schroedinger 
included, so the tools know that old ffmpeg versions won't satisfy the
dependencies listed in WANTLIB.

this way, attempting to install these packages with old ffmpeg will
no longer give you a cryptic error message as seen by dhill@.

29673e8a85 Enable wikipedia plugin, which fetches artist info from wikipedia. 
As it drags webkit as a dependency, subpackage it, and only build it on
archs where webkit builds.
Add a patch from upstream git repo to fix a bug.
Explicitely depend on taglib 1.5 for tagedit plugin while here.

b631f0db36 sparc64 has sporadic build failures unless -O0 is used for some files; 
this was patched in Makefile.in in the past but a change that was made
to run autoconf has knocked this out. switch to patching Makefile.am

X-platform Music Multiplexing System 2 is a client-server audio player.
Client-server model allows XMMS2 to have various multiple (remote)
interfaces (as clients):
    * Command line interfaces
    * GTK clients (matching GNOME & Xfce4 look and feel)
    * KDE clients (matching KDE look and feel)
It has a wide format support and can play over different media.
It comes with Medialib, a database-driven media library which stores
metadata about songs as they're played, so songs can be quickly recalled
and new playlists easily made. The media library can be easily queried
and managed using Collections.

9df357103a Import gmpc-plugins 0.18.0. Finally, upstream decided to bundle several 
plugins altogether, this will clean a bit audio/...
This package provides various cover/metadata/lyrics fetcher plugins,
jamendo and magnatune plugins, osd & shout plugins, and a nice tag editor
plugin. No upgrade path is possible, you'll have to manually remove old
versions of those plugins before installing this package.

63131ebe8a make mpd use a reaonable Fisher-Yates shuffle for randomizing play order 
instead of an incorrectly implemented Knuth shuffle. Also on openbsd
make sure we use arc4random_uniform for the random choice from the
sequence to make sure we aren't modulo biased.
Noticed when my mpd server played an unnatural amount of Rush out of the
80's playlist.

Mutagen is a Python module to handle audio metadata.
It supports ASF, FLAC, M4A, Monkey's Audio, MP3, Musepack, Ogg FLAC,
Ogg Speex, Ogg Theora, Ogg Vorbis, True Audio, WavPack and OptimFROG
audio files. All versions of ID3v2 are supported, and all standard
ID3v2.4 frames are parsed. It can read Xing headers to accurately
calculate the bitrate and length of MP3s. ID3 and APEv2 tags can be
edited regardless of audio format. It can also manipulate Ogg streams
on an individual packet/page level.

3f708542c3 ratchov@ reports that packaging fails, this is when files/aqualung.desktop 
is writable by a group other than wheel. fix by using INSTALL_DATA/SUBST_CMD
rather than directly using SUBST_CMD -c.

PLIST remains the same with this fix; package version not bumped.

9916f66d8d isnan() and isinf() are in the std:: namespace now, so remove a patch 
which stripped the std:: namespace qualifier from calls to these functions.
Should unbreak this port on architectures using gcc-3.x.

playback under aucat server is pretty solid.  for full-duplex,
starting aucat with 'aucat -l -b 2048' and jackd with just
'jackd -d sndio' seems to work best for me.  we want low latency

96f1b5c1c0 import wavpack, tweaked from a ports@ submission by Alexandr Shadchin 
WavPack is a completely open audio compression format providing
lossless, high-quality lossy, and a unique hybrid compression mode.
The compression ratio depends on the source material, but generally
is between 30% and 70%.

The hybrid mode provides all the advantages of lossless compression
with an additional bonus. Instead of creating a single file, this
mode creates both a relatively small, high-quality lossy file that
can be used all by itself, and a "correction" file that (when
combined with the lossy file) provides full lossless restoration.

WavPack employs only well known, public domain techniques (i.e.,
linear prediction with LMS adaptation, Elias and Golomb codes) in
its implementation. Methods and algorithms that have ever been
patented (e.g., arithmetic coding, LZW compression) are specifically
avoided.

806931b602 import espeak 1.37 
eSpeak produces good quality English speech. It uses a different
synthesis method from other open source TTS engines, and sounds
quite different. It's perhaps not as natural or "smooth", but
the articulation is much clearer and easier to listen to for long
periods.

ca650b05be Avoid setting envelope cursors to negative values; found the hard way with 
0-point envelopes in kgb.xm on amd64 (blame recent malloc changes, it used
to work not so long ago on mips and alpha).

743646d039 - update to faad-2.6.1 
- greatly simplify type-mismatch-correcting patches.  most of the
  mismatches actually match on size and signedness, so only fix the
  ones that don't match.  tested to work on sparc64 by naddy@ a
  while back.
- libmp4v2 is no longer part of this package

3161d74a36 Add -D_BSD_SOURCE so that mpd calls initgroups(3) and sets additional 
groups when dropping privilege. This fixes long-standing permission
problems when accessing music directory..

Music::Audioscrobbler::Submit is a scrobbler for MPD implementing the
1.2 protocol, including "Now Playing' feature.
Items are submitted and stored in a queue. This queue is stored as a
file using Tie::File. When you submit a track, it will add the queue to
the track and process the queue. If it submits all items in the queue,
the submit() method will return true.

based on a port by anton v. yabchinkiy, with tweaks by me.
