i'd like to use this commit to explain a bit about this gnome 2.24 update.
it wouldn't have been possible without the donations that made p2k8 as
good as it was. some gnome-related ports may not build right now, antoine
and i are working on this, but please report any breakage to us.
more gnome commits will come from a couch in rainy antwerp this weekend.

Sync versions with the Gnome 2.4.1 release. Mostly bugfixes, too numerous
to list :).
This also addresses systrace issues and some config file issues from
sturm@, and wireless applet support from djm@.
Gnome 1, as a standalone environment, has left the building. Applications
that use the remaining Gnome 1 ports (bonobo, bonobo-conf, controlcenter,
libs, oaf, print and vfs) will still work, but the Gnome 1 desktop itself
is no more.
This is a first step at Gnome 1 removal. Other Gnome 1 bits will be
removed as their dependent ports get updated.
This also removes the Gnome 1 vs Gnome 2 conflicts so it should make the
package builders happy.

This package contains the libgnome-desktop library as well as GNOME's
.desktop files, the gnome-about program, some manpages and GNOME's
core graphics files and icons.
