improve ensure=>latest a great deal by avoiding fuzzy matches, but do use
...
fuzzy matching for updating. also avoid calling #get_version and just let
pkg_add -rz do the right thing.
also unbreak flavored package installation.

While there's a huge amount of changes, existing setups "should" just
