a5fc69c363 Work-around for libtermcap.a incorrectly defining trace. 
Seen when building -static.

Note that work-around never hurts, so put it in unconditionally for
arches without dynamic libs.

49f6d23c9f Cosmetic changes, mostly. 
- unbundle patches in separate files,
- remove mostly unneeded Makefile patch, use ports mechanisms instead,
- use INSTALL_* macros,
- FAKE,
- proper package, handles shell addition/removal like other shells do...

a813079932 Kill a large set of deprecated variables. 
Thoroughly unsubtle, most mkdir -p should probably be INSTALL* at
*install stage, and echo/ECHO_MSG is somewhat unsorted.

It's quite possible I missed a few automated changes...

ecce200fd5 - add proper INSTALL/DEINSTALL scripts so that the reminder to add/remove 
bash in /etc/shells is displayed when this is made into a package.

0ae8b82c8c - remove workaround for texinfo install-info bug 
- convert patches to unified diffs
- stay consistant with all the other shells and build a dynamicly
  linked binary by default
- ${ECHO} -> echo in Makefile
