POE::Component::Client::HTTP is an HTTP user-agent for POE.  It lets
other sessions run while HTTP transactions are being processed, and it
lets several HTTP transactions be processed in parallel.

8fc60faf82 import p5-POE-Component-Client-Keepalive 
POE::Component::Client::Keepalive creates and manages connections for
other components.  It maintains a cache of kept-alive connections for
quick reuse.  It is written specifically for clients that can benefit
from kept-alive connections, such as HTTP clients.  Using it for
one-shot connections would probably be silly.

e32afdc2c6 take over amule as MAINTAINER, replaces mldonkey nicely for me 
Activate a lot of useful stuff, like the amule daemon and the amulecmd
line tool, which makes it possible to run amule mostly unattended.
(you might need to run it with the gui to configure it at first).

Even the experimental amulegui appears to be mostly functional.
the webgui is included for reference, it works on i386, something fishy
on sparc64...

todo: figure out cross-platform issues. The people who write amule never
thought that the client and the server could run on distinct architectures,
and so they transfer binary data without even putting it in network format,
leading to interesting transfer times and sizes...

9d15d6f23e Update devel/bluetooth-libs and net/bluetooth-tools to match the kernel 
This time, the userland tools and libraries are being ported from NetBSD
(which in turn is also based on FreeBSD code).  Both packages represent
work in progress and are not fully functional yet.

286444f44d Import liveMedia-20070220 
This code forms a set of C++ libraries for multimedia streaming, using
open standard protocols (RTP/RTCP and RTSP). These libraries - which can
be compiled for Unix (including Linux and Mac OS X), Windows, and QNX
(and other POSIX-compliant systems) - can be used to build streaming
applications. The libraries are already being used to implement
applications such as "liveCaster" and "playRTPMPEG" (for streaming MP3
audio using RTP/RTCP). The libraries can also be used to stream,
receive, and process MPEG video, and can easily be extended to support
additional (audio and/or video) codecs. They can also be used to build
basic RTSP clients and servers, and have been used to add streaming
support to existing media player applications, such as "mplayer".

8ae2d6fb43 Don't build unused shared versions of internal convenience libraries. 
This cuts the prodigious build time almost in half.

Compile two source files without -Wcast-align as this will raise a
warning on strict alignment architectures, which together with
-Werror aborts the build.  The cast usage itself is safe.

Ezstream is a command line utility which allows streaming media files
to an Icecast server. By default, ezstream does not do any reencoding
by itself and thus requires very little CPU. Through the use of external
en- and decoders, virtually any format can be streamed.

POE::Component::Jabber is a module that simplies for the POE developer,
access to the Jabber protocol through the use of one of the four Client
classes. With built in events for common Jabber packets, all a POE
developer need do is provide an event and arguments for most events so
the responses to the requests can be properly handled by the coder.

2ea1227c6f Update to libtorrent 0.11.0 and rtorrent 0.7.0; from maintainer Henrik Enberg. 
* Encrypted (obfuscated) handshake and connection support.
* Added support for tunneling through HTTP 1.0 proxies.
* Support for the CANCEL piece request message.
* Allow the user to configure the max file size a torrent is allowed
  to create, and the option to split large files.

Take maintainer, as Henrik doesn't have the time any longer.

31e4f1d7d2 xmlrpc C/C++ library, prereq for newer cmake. 
Also, makes sense to take this code out, as some other stuff is bound
to want this at some point.

This library is incredibly sloppy engineering. Reasonably readable
code, looks sensible, but incredible lack of testing (doesn't even pass
its own testsuite on a stable release... and does a lot of things that
can't work outside of linux... makes you wonder who is actually using
this...)
