67a712a5ac Update to 0.23.0: improve stability, many bug fixes. 
0.22.0 has a serious compression bug.  If you use old versions,
please upgrade to 0.23.0.  If 0.23.0 detects the remote host is
0.22.0, it will forcibly fall back to no compression mode.

d3d261467e I don't know how shell@ managed to do this but the patch for 
src/fe-gtk/Makefile.in was in patch-src_fe-text_Makefile_in,
also add a patch for the real src/fe-text/Makefile.in to add
in a missing -liconv so this will link properly on a.out systems.

IPaudit is a software package to record and display network activity. 
It includes ipaudit, which stores counts of bytes and packets for 
every combination of host/port pairs and protocol. 
The utilities total and ipstrings can be used to investigate network 
traffic records from the command line.

Changes:
Now the connections are buffered, so you can view past
event data.
A new sniffing method (port stealing) was added as a plugin.
The SMB dissector and troll plugin were enhanced.
Three new plugins, confusion, hunter, and SMB suite, have been
added.
The demonization problem and the StateMachine timeout session
handling problem were fixed.
Also enable gtk support (which was experimental in the last
version), adding of no_x11 FLAVOR, although with gtk enabled
you also have the ncurses interface available.

ca4bae8577 - don't hardcode /etc, use SYSCONFDIR instead 
- don't change SYSCONFDIR, use CONFDIR/SUBST_VARS instead and if neccessary
  use "CONFIGURE_STYLE=gnu old" and explicitly set --sysconfdir=${CONFDIR}

7e9274f06f Not so initial but correct import of dnsreflector. 
--
dnsreflector is a daemon that listens for DNS queries on a local
UDP port and answers with records pointing back to localhost.
Combined with pf(4) this works as a bandwidth efficient spamtrap.

near real-time, long-term, and wide-area traffic monitoring.
Aguri adapts itself to spatial traffic distribution by
aggregating small volume flows into aggregates, and achieves
temporal aggregation by creating a summary of summaries applying
the same algorithm to its outputs.

Nosuid TCP/IP ping is a small, secure replacement for the original ping
command. Unlike its setuid counterpart, it won't allow flood-pings,
security compromises and other typical problems. It uses TCP syn-rst
challenge/response instead of ICMP echo and echo-reply.

Tcpdpriv removes sensitive information from a packet trace, replacing it
with contrived information from which the sensitive information cannot be
reconstructed.  By removing the sensitive information, the output of
tcpdpriv may be shared with others (for debugging or network analysis,
say).

c666ca6186 Initial import of trickle-1.04 
trickle is a portable lightweight userspace bandwidth shaper.  It can
run in collaborative mode (together with trickled) or in stand alone
mode.  trickle works by taking advantage of the unix loader preloading.
Essentially it provides, to the application, a new version of the
functionality that is required to send and receive data through sockets.
It then limits traffic based on delaying the sending and receiving of
data over a socket.  trickle runs entirely in userspace and does not
require root privileges.
