9eb4efb395 Add tests/ which details how to test texlive. Update note on ruby being 
required for context, so as to reflect the recent ruby binary naming
changes. Remove note on p5-tk, as I have now added that as a RUN_DEPEND.

75b3af09bb Enable poppler-qt4 for powerpc (but not for arm) and clean up some mess. 
- Remove arch specific FLAVOR settings for real.
- Don't set CXXFLAGS, it's not needed (and it confused qt3 and qt4).
- Don't pass CXXFLAGS and CFLAGS via CONFIGURE_ENV (not needed, either).

c27b13336a silence bogus symlinks warnings by using scripts from -base where 
possible instead of using all scripts from texmf. Add p5-Tk as a dep of
texmf-docs to allow texdoctk to work. Update README.

Is anyone testing this?

a81d6712c2 As agreed with espie@, install a first rc script to serve as a test 
example. A couple of things are still missing from the infrastructure
but the basics work. When everything has been taken care of, we'll start
mocing all ports to using the new rc system.

e8f51df300 Found bogus junk being installed in ${PREFIX}/texmf*. Also showed me 
that some symlinks need to be translated. Unfortunately this now causes
symlink warnings during packaging; this is because teh relative symlinks
are bogus in the context of ${WRKINST}, but not once relocated at
install time. Any ideas what to do with that anyone?

16656a74e6 Update README.OpenBSD with new package sizes and details on how to do a 
TEXMFHOME texmf install. Update the main README with details on what fails for
manual pages -- not sure what do do about this yet. Small cleanups of packing
lists.

5181139d5d Register all inter-texlive package dependencies, add all relevent pkg_create 
directives to packing lists, update README with current status. Found bug in
gmverb, needs updating from svn, (probably my next commit).

Was able to build some complex documents fine (with the exception of gmverb).

f72f4081dc Start hooking up dependencies between various texlive packages. Looks 
like we don't need a separate fmtutil.cnf for our subsets this year,
which is a good thing as tl-link-config can go. Packing lists still need
tweaks and -full and -docs have not been touched yet. Top @xxx
(conflict etc.) directives not touched yet. Some fallout with the new mandoc
stuff will need to be looked at.

Lots more to do; having said that, I was able to compile sample2e.

1fa7bbaad0 import initial texmf/pkg directory with initial packing lists. These 
packing lists include directory entries so as to keep pkg_check happy.

@exec, @conflict etc. needs to be added at some stage, but right now I
am more interested in getting archiving working.

f0c832185f Disable support for the gutenprint driver, we use gutenprint-ijs which 
is spooler independant. Don't display gutenprint as a recommended driver
anymore (which wouldn't work anyway), but use the ijs one.

a2299e5ae4 Update to foo2zjs-20100728. 
Add a -cups subpackage that contains the command2foo2lava-pjl that
brings support for more features.
Unconditionally enable CUPS commands in the PPD files. Foomatic will
ignore them and CUPS will use them if there.

01bc1aa247 Synchronise a4* and letter* FLAVORS to the required psutils dependency 
FLAVOR.
That is: a2ps--a4 now depends on psutils--a4...

prodded by eric@ who was confused when installing a2ps-*-a4 it pulled
psutil-*-letter.

cf6d88b618 Import unpaper-0.3. 
unpaper is a post-processing tool for scanned sheets of paper,
especially for book pages that have been scanned from previously created
photocopies.
The main purpose is to make scanned book pages better readable on screen
after conversion to PDF. Additionally, unpaper might be useful to
enhance the quality of scanned pages before performing optical character
recognition (OCR).

64333027b3 This is a helper port, used for fetching lilypond test data for the 
regression tests only, so people who don't want to run the lilypond
regression tests don't have to download the huge distfile.

It is not meant to build or package anything, nor is it wired to
print/Makefile.

0e8ee191cd lyx(1) wants `python' or it will die. It should be possible to use 
MODPY_BIN instead, but franckly there are python references all over the
code and I don't feel like fixing this right now.
Add a MESSAGE to warn users accordingly.

aa71e00a3d Remove all traces of SO(BIN|REL)DIR, as ./obj/foo and ./obj/../obj/foo 
are different files for gmake, which leads to wrong target rebuilds
on NFS. Some targets are still rebuilt on NFS, but at least in the
correct order and without trashing ./obj/ld.tr and/or ./obj/ldt.tr.

This hopefully fixes the build problems landry@ and marco@ had with
WRKOBJDIR on NFS.

3a83459d4e Create a link from ${LOCALBASE}/bin/smbspool to 
${PREFIX}/libexec/cups/backend/smb so that is we have samba installed it
is possible to print to Windows printers out of the box (if samba is not
installed, the smb backend will not appear so there's no harm in doing
this).
Use FAKE_FLAGS instead ov post-install mv danse.
Fix group of cups.conf for dbus.

7e9761a729 Import apvlv 0.0.9.6, A PDF Viewer Like Vim. 
Apvlv is a PDF Viewer with vim-like keybindings using poppler rendering
library (that means it won't render pdf that evince and epdfview already
don't render).
For example, <Ctrl-f> for next page, <Ctrl-b> to previous page,
'k','j','h','l' to scrolling a page up, down, left or right, and so on.
It support lots of other shortcuts explained in the provided pdf
documentation, shown when starting it without arguments.

c2879afdcf Update to foomatic-db-engine-4.0.4. 
The important part for us is that "it is not required any more that for
Foomatic to return a PPD file for a given printer/driver combo that
there is an XML file for both the printer and the driver. One XML file
(either printer or driver) is enough when this file describes the
printer/driver relation."
That means that printers that did not appear before (i.e. one could not
create a custom ppd) where they were marked as supported will now
appear and work fine.

d4dc1f4d12 Actully build the complete thing during make build instead of linking 
obj/gs during make fake. This fixes the breakage on hppa found by
landry@ the other day. Bump PKGNAME to be save (shouldn't be
necessary, but the failure on hppa was weird enough to get paranoic).

Builds fine on hppa for landry@.

It's been unmaintained for a long time now and the generated PPDs are
out-of-date for the newer foomatic-*.
Correct PPDs files for HP printers are of course still shipped in the
hpijs package.

4ec7c40b92 Remove the -gimp subpackage. It had a meaning when gimp did not provide 
a sensible printing interface but this is not the case anymore. This
also allows to remove gutenprintui2 and gtk+2 dependency.

Rebuild -foomatic against the latest foomatic-db-engine.
The -foomatic package run_depends on foomatic-db. Move some files from
-main to -foomatic.

c81df85b8c Always add the 'display' device for !no_x11. 
Thanks to kili@'s idea, it is possible to make it wok alongside regular
command line invocation whether we have gtk support or not.
This change fixes helpers like libspectre which depend on this device
driver being available (even when we don't want the gtk FLAVOR).

Tweak DESCR while here.

f8bddf7e5a Major update to hplip-3.9.6b. 
Refer to the project homepage for the complete changelog.

This port now comes into 5 subpackages (ala Fedora):
- main: complete hplip functionnalities
- hpijs: deprecated hpijs printer driver
- hpcups: new-gen printer driver
- libs: libraries and helpers used by other subpackages
- gui: graphical tools (systray applet...)

It seems this version works a least as good as the previous one we had
in-tree. I could use some feedbacks for the fancier stuffs that hplip
provides (besides regular printing using hpcups and/or hpijs), like
printer communication, ink levels... because I have no hp equipment, but
at least, there was no regression reported.
(some features are Linux-only and are expected not to work)

Tested by several, thanks!

e436b9fc81 Fix daemon mode by correcting non-portable code: 
- close(0); open(...); is no guaranteed to open on file descriptor 0.
  Change to using dup2()
- Threaded applications that fork() may only call async-signal-safe
  functions in the child process until such time as one of the exec
  functions are called. Enable the APPLE code path that uses execlp()
  in child. Also close child fd's in such a way as to not trip on
  non-blocking fd design issues of libpthread.

dd1ef1ab89 Revert part of previous, it does not seem to help after all; for now 
it is advised to start cups in foreground mode (i.e. 'cupsd -f &').
Issue is still under investigation.

5ddde6614a - Fix USE_SYSTRACE=Yes builds. 
- LOCALBASE -> TRUEPREFIX

- Add a separate script (tl-link-config) to decide which config to
symlink. Fixes the situation where -base gets bumped and so the minimal
fmtutil.cnf gets incorrectly linked when really the -full config is
needed.

Major bumps to all shared libs. I think that only libpoppler.so
needs a a bump, but bumps are cheap and don't hurt, and I may have
missed some changes when reading the diffs.
