Remove dependency on gnuplot: it's trivial to fake it for building,
...
and octave is useful even without gnuplot installed.
Remind user in pkg/DESCR that gnuplot might be useful.

GNU Octave is a high-level language, primarily intended for numerical
computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for
