5e1c3c14ed Some fixes: 
- patch libstdc++-v3/libmath to unconfuse libtool.
- sparc needs the same fix as i386 to not emit bogus frame info.

178fb96cfe Slightly better configuration: 
- add patches from OpenBSD-current, to multilib libgcc as -fpic
- fix asm emitting code on i386, to avoid dwarf2 stuff. Similar patches
may be needed for other a.out arches...
- fix comment on i386.
- add -L/usr/lib/debug.
- finish -shared support.

Misc. configury:
- try to ensure libffi, libjava, fastjar will configure. So far, ld dumps
core in libjava though...

Use gmake for now, as it does not build completely with our make...

Still missing shared library pieces...

a8e8cca603 Preliminary port of gcc 3.0. 
Currently, bootstraps C and C++ on i386.

This is definitely not complete yet. Lots of libtool patches, and local
changes to 2.95.3 (such as proper -shared support) are missing,
but this should allow people to start banging on it.

733e7fc905 The egcs snapshot needs a recent dejagnu snapshot to run its testsuite. 
Provided as a separate subport, as updating devel/dejagnu is probably
not wise at this stage.

a813079932 Kill a large set of deprecated variables. 
Thoroughly unsubtle, most mkdir -p should probably be INSTALL* at
*install stage, and echo/ECHO_MSG is somewhat unsorted.

It's quite possible I missed a few automated changes...

b15b5c9a11 Update to 991208 snapshot, quite a few bugs fixed as usual. 
Highlight: inlining on function trees should be active in C++.

Reword include files fixing so that it wedges in where it is
supposed to, as latest tweaks to va_list means the stage1 compiler
needs correct includes.

e8ce5474b4 Fix g77 mktemp patch, now that the testsuite checks for it. 
Remove extraneous warnings from the build process... for some strange
reason, the protoize patch was integrated by the Cygnus folks, but
the libiberty part is still hanging in no-man's land... go figure.

f844940867 Argh. I was SURE I had repaired that port WEEKS ago. 
So, here goes.

- retrieve a recent snapshot of egcs, to justify the port's existence,
- remove outdated fixes, now that we're synching with 2.6,
- update patches to deal with the current snapshot,
- get a description that matches better what's going on,
- add fixed include files to match the new varargs handling (complexity
is now within gcc, instead of arch-dependent include files).

Builds on i386, at least.

1753c0da02 19990517 compiles and tests okay.
