sourceforge had a .tar.gz up that wasn't actually gzipped, and now

they have tried to correct this by simply gzipping it in place

independently verified by myself and the maintainer, William Yodlowsky
<bsd@openbsd.rutgers.edu>, and ok'd by pvalchev@
