This project aims to create an archive of user contributed clip art that
can be freely used. All graphics submitted to the project should be
placed into the Public Domain.

Most of the artwork  is in svg format.

you've got to love this: it's called OPENclipart, and it's truely open (they insist on public domain, no strings attached). This is a large (and growing collection) of SVG clip-art, free of use. 2005-09-04 23:05:50 +00:00
