David E. O'Brien 8c54814372 * Minor bug fixes from OpenBSD (and some stuff to ease diff'ing in the future)
* Some initial support for FreeBSD-alpha
* Add some optimizations required by g77, which still might be of some use
  to adventuring C/C++ programmers.
