Dirk Froemberg e1d84112f9 - introduce DB_DIR variable to specify database directory if
different from /var/db/mysql
  (e. g. make DB_DIR=/export/databases/mysql install)
- put functionality of check_old_version into Makefile and remove
  check_old_version (good bye, good old friend...)
