0688800214 Always remove the .orig files from the examples directory; there's 
no sense in muddying up the Makefile with checks for NOPORTDOCS
just to remove the copy of one patched file.

Make the package list be in alphabetical order for directories with
lots of files in them; this allows one to do `/bin/ls -1` to generate
the package list and produce (hopefully) smaller diffs for subsequent
versions.

c982f5faf1 Use ${ECHO_CMD} instead of ${ECHO} where you mean the echo command; 
the ECHO macro is set to "echo" by default, but it is set to "true" if
make(1) is invoked with the -s option while ECHO_CMD is always set to
the echo command.

Use command macros where appropriate.

29ab188f02 To keep users from experiencing upgrading problems, make lang/ruby and 
lang/ruby-devel deinstall obsoleted (integrated) packages in their
post-install targets (for installation from ports) and in their plists
(for installation from packages),

Update to the latest snapshot as of 2002-01-29 while I'm at it.

963ec014d2 Upgrade to v0.6.0. 
- "files/patch-ae" is no longer required
- PLIST substitution is used to merge the files "pkg-plist.doc" and
  "pkg-plist" into one entity
- new patch file "files/patch-static.scm" has been added
