e8a49fd3ff Applying the patch posted on unix-ml@vacs.co.jp mailing list by 
Hiroyuki Aizu <aizu@jaist.ac.jp>, build `vje' executable from the
source.

This should finally fix the memory leakage problem that has been
reported by many users. :)

7acef1cd7a Change PKGDIR from pkg/ to . Also fix places where ${PKGDIR} is 
spelled out (many of which are ${PKGDIR}/MESSAGE -> ${PKGMESSAGE} type
fixes that shouldn't have been necessary) and the string "/pkg/"
appear.

40f67e3def Apply the newly supplied updater. 
Change the default behavior to use the updater.
Note that you still have WITHOUT_MINORUPDATE to define, just in case
the new update includes some bugs yet again. :p

ebf8f6f313 Make applying the vendor's minor update optional, as the updated 
version was found to be quite buggy and die too often.  We'd rather
take small memory leaks rather than frequent deaths.  Sigh.

a42adeafdd Style fix: 
- Remove post-install information from DESCR's.
  - Replace /usr/local with ${PREFIX} in DESCR's and MESSAGE's.
  - Remove unnecessary whitespace.
