c60dbe4b55 Don't depend on GNU share+unshare to extract the distfile. Sed trickery
is lighter weight.

Increase the granularity of the statistics.  Rounding to whole msec isn't
accurate enough on a LAN.

dd9ff05a6a Commit #3/4 to enforce caps, no period.
FWIW, checkout of these things took 5+hrs, staying on the local
.freebsd.org net w/o hitting the 'net at all.
