New options framework for the ports for maintainers: it introduces 3 different types of options: simple, multi and single: - simple options are the same as the current options (i.e. on or off.) - multi options are options where at least one must be set (1-N). - single options are options where one and only one must be set (exclusive options). for users: - OPTIONS_SET: globally enable some options - OPTIONS_UNSET: globally disable some options - ${UNIQUENAME}_SET: enable per-port choice of options - ${UNIQUENAME}_UNSET: disable per-port choice of options For compatibility the old OPTIONS framework is now working on top of the new one The options previously set with old OPTIONS are imported and converted transparently. A new knob NO_DIALOG if defined in the the config-conditional target is ignored (prevent the dialog(1) ui to show up. Just for reference (non-obvious changes): * ASSERT (which should be changed to ASSERTS) gained an 'enable' because assertions lie in the code and just need to be turned on, but actually add something to the final result (unlike MMX and SSE, which have 'use' because they replace routines with optimised ones); * GDM changed from 'build' to 'install' because the option means "depend on the GDM port", while 'build' would mean "build the GDM login manager inside this port"; * 'Desktop' in GNOME and KDE* was changed to a more complete 'desktop environment'.

graphics/darktable: Update to 1.4.2 The following changes were made to options: o Remove GCC option (see below) o Remove KWALLET option (unused) o Rename FACEBOOK option to FB_PICASA, because both export features depend on json-glib. o Add COLORD option (color management) o Add GRAPHMAGICK option (support GraphicsMagick's image formats) o Add LUA option (embed Lua to add scripting) o Add OPENEXR option (support HDR image format) o Add SQUISH option (use libsquish to compress thumbnails) o Add WEBP option (support WebP image format) The patch enables more options by default, because I think it's more sensible for a photographer using binary packages: o COLORD o FB_PICASA o FLICKR o GEO o GPHOTO (already on) o LUA o NLS o OPENEXR o OPENJPEG o RAWSPEED (already on) o WEBP The GCC option was removed because the usage of GCC along with libc++ in FreeBSD 10 and -CURRENT is unstable (this isn't a general truth, just valid in the case of darktable). In FreeBSD up-to 9, the usage of lang/gcc is mandatory anyway, because GCC 4.2.1 support is best effort only (upstream). Ninja is now used to build darktable, instead of make. This is not mandatory of course, but brings a 33% build time improvement (at least for me). pkg-plist is generated with "make makeplist" this time. That's why the diff seems large. In fact most of the content remains the same, just with a different order. All patches were committed upstream and are removed, except one which comes from upstream but isn't part of release 1.4.2. WXGTK_DESC?= wxGTK GUI toolkit support
Remove the word 'support' from most places that it occurs, since it is not only redundant and repetitive, it makes the descriptions of some options too long for RELENG_8. Removing it does not make the meaning of the option description less clear. While I'm here, make a few of the options more consistent with each other. PR: ports/172201 Submitted by: me

Now that dialog4ports was committed, which brings support for mixed checkbox and combobox dialogs, with great pleasure backout r305288 by dougb@ (which had dropped the word 'support' from most places that it occured) and restore original readability of those descriptions. This also improves consistency. While here, move GIO description to standard pool, as advised by comment. Tested with: www/firefox (on RELENG_8)

- Add X265 knob (default off) for X.265 (HEVC) encoding support using multimedia/x265. Example usage: (-c:a libfdk_aac needs FDK_AAC knob too) ffmpeg -i $inputvideofile -c:a libfdk_aac -b:a 64k -c:v libx265 -x265-params crf=31 $outputfile.mkv This can now be played back by at least ffplay (needs SDL knob), vlc, mplayer, mpv, xine. (and gives a nice reduction in file size.) No objection from: multimedia@ list

Remove the word "Enable" from most descriptions: Having the same word be the first of every description is not good UX, remove space from descriptions, and checking the box obviously means you are enabling something.
