link for proper operation.

It is STRONGLY recommended that you change the SYSDBA

password with:

$ cd /usr/interbase
|
||
|

$ gsec -user SYSDBA -pass masterkey
|
||
|

GSEC> modify SYSDBA -pw newpassword
|
||
|
|
GSEC> quit

|
|
before doing anything serious with Firebird.
