Laurent MONIN 083bce589c Use make's internal $(foreach) instead of 'for file in ...' loop
Should hopefully fix problems with older make versions (3.79.1, 3.80, and 3.81beta3) reported by zas.

Re-committed.

### The build commands and verbosity
# If we are verbose, we will show commands prefixed by $(Q) (which acts as
# @ in the non-verbose mode), and we will show the "real" cmds instead of
# their quiet versions (which are used in the non-verbose mode).
# Inspired by the Linux kernel build system.
