<a href="../D/drop-on-the-floor.html"><i class="glossterm">drop on the floor</i></a>). The implied metaphor of email as interstellar
travel is interesting in itself. Readily verbed as <span class="firstterm">blackhole</span>: &#8220;<span class="quote">That router is blackholing
