          to left of cursor          CTRL-U
          at cursor                  CTRL-R
        Gobble all characters
          to left of cursor          CTRL-Y
          at and to right of cursor  CTRL-T
          on entire line             DEL (a. k. a. RUBOUT)


        "hdir" gets you back to the general help directory.
        Type "hcc" to get back to the control character directory.
