poppler. It doesn't build without patches against the new poppler object API (which it shouldn't use at all in the first place) and the patch I wrote for this leads to memory corruption. Switching back and forth between different versions of poppler and differently patched versions of texlive and at the same time letting our poppler port rotting in the tree doesn't help, so for now people using pdftex (and luatex?) will have to live with a very outdated version of poppler (0.42). ok aja@, jca@ (how also caught a missing removal of -std=c++11 from CPPFLAGS in my initial diff)
