Subject: [PATCH] patch 8.2.4098: typing "interrupt" at debug prompt may keep
 exception around

Problem:    Typing "interrupt" at debug prompt may keep exception around,
            causing function calls to fail.
Solution:   Discard any exception at the toplevel. (closes #9532)
